Game Of Thrones first cinematic out will tell the story of King Aegon’s conquest of Westeros and will be written by Beau Willimon (Andor).
Warner’s film and televisions departments had both been working on a version of this story and it appears the film side of the business has won out with it being compared to the scale of Dune.
At the moment, due to the Paramount buy out, more detail are scarce and there are no guarantees of this definitely moving forward but Paramount boss David Ellison has said the Game Of Thrones is his favourite HBO show
The idea of a Game Of Thrones film to rival the likes of The Lord Of The Rings was originally pitched by the show’s creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss back in 2013 but HBO wanted to focus on television.
There are currently two Game Of Thrones shows on HBO, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven, with many more at various stages of development.
