Prime Video has ordered a new drama series titled Savage Son, expanding its Terminal List franchise. Chris Pratt will reprise his role as former Navy SEAL James Reece, the central character from the original show.

The series is based on Jack Carr’s novel of the same name, the third book in the author’s popular series. The order arrives just two weeks after the premiere of The Terminal List Season 2 on 21st October. Despite a four-year gap between seasons, the return performed strongly, attracting 830 million minutes of viewing in the week of 19th–25th October.

Savage Son follows Reece as he confronts his most personal and dangerous mission yet. The official logline describes the story as a gripping blend of military action, espionage and wilderness survival, exploring the thin line between civilisation and the savage instincts that surface when survival becomes personal.

The new series follows the 2025 prequel Dark Wolf within the growing franchise. Prime Video has yet to decide whether to renew the main Terminal List series, which also stars Constance Wu, Tom Hopper and Taylor Kitsch. Although the novel features several characters from the earlier books, it remains unclear whether any of the existing cast will join Pratt in Savage Son. No writer or showrunner has been attached to the project so far.

Jack Carr’s work has connected with audiences in a way that speaks to the power of his storytelling and the incredible dedication Chris Pratt and the entire team bring to every episode. The Terminal List franchise continues to resonate, and Savage Son takes the story into its most intense chapter yet.
