The Fast & Furious franchise figurehead Vin Diesel took to Instagram to announce that the sequel to Fast X will now be called Fast Forever.
Using a photo of himself and late co-star Paul Walker, who he has previously announced will return in the next film, he also revealed the film will be released on 17th March, 2028
The film was original going to be called Fast X Part II and was due to be out in the spring of 2025 but Fast X‘s underperformance got the sequel stuck in development hell.
The new film is said to have a scaled back budget and return to franchise to its street racing roots.
The have been no announcements about who will be directing or starring.
