The Zuckerman sisters, Lilla and Nora, best known for working on Rian Johnson’s Poker Face, will be on scripting duties for Scream 8.
This year’s Scream 7, which saw the franchises original writer Kevin Williamson return as director, became the biggest in the series, grossing over $200 million worldwide. This is $40 million up on Scream VI, the previous best, despite casting controversies and weaker reviews than usual.
Williamson has also stated that he won’t be returning to directed Scream 8.
It is rumoured that Paramount will try to get the film into production before the end of the year.
