Warner Bros. Pictures has released the full trailer for ‘Doctor Sleep’, the sequel to ‘The Shining’, based on novel by Stephen King.
Ewan McGregor stars as the grown up Danny Torrance. He carries the trauma of the Overlook Hotel with him and struggles to come to terms with his murderous father, suffers from rage issues and has a drinking problem that dulls his pain as well as his ‘shining’ powers.
He has a chance of redemption when he establishes a psychic connection with a girl, played by Kyliegh Curran, who shares his abilities, and who is being targeted by a cult who make others like them suffer painful deaths in order to absorb their powers.
Rebecca Ferguson stars as the leader of the cult with support from Carl Lumbly, Bruce Greenwood, Jacob Tremblay, Alex Essoe, Emily Alyn Lind, Jocelin Donahue and Zahn McClarnon.
The film is directed Mike Flanagan (‘The Haunting of Hill House’) and is released on 8th November.
