Netflix have signed a deal with Paramount Pictures to make a fourth ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ film, the first since 1994, with Eddie Murphy to reprise the role Alex Foley and Jerry Bruckheimer returning to produce. This follows on from the success that Netflix have had with the Eddie Murphy starrer ‘Dolemite Is My Name’.
Paramount have been trying to carry on the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ franchise for some time with part four being stuck in development hell and a TV show not making it past a pilot.
Netflix will produce the project with Murphy and Bruckheimer to get a script and director, finance the project and release it on the streaming service.
There is no word on a release date.
