A flood of new Star Wars content has been announced by Kathleen Kennedy for Disney+.
‘The Mandalorian’ is getting two spin-offs in the form of ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘Rangers Of The New Republic’. Both shows will be run by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni and the three series will lead to a big event. Rosario Dawson will return as Ahsoka Tano.
‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ will start filming in March 2021 with Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader.
‘Andor’, the ‘Rogue One’ prequel, in in production and will debut in 2022.
‘The Acolyte’, created by Leslye Headland, will be a female led mystery-thriller that will “take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era”.
‘Lando’ is in early development from Justin Simien.
‘Star Wars: Visions’ will be animated shorts in a anime style.
‘A Droid Tale’ will be a series created by ILM and Lucasfilm Animation.
The was also a clip from ‘The Bad Batch’ that appeared to feature Fennec Shand from ‘The Mandalorian’.
