Lucasfilm has officially announced the cast for the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Disney+ event series with production due to begin in April.
Not only will Ewan McGregor be joined by Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader but the series will also see Joel Egderton and Bonnie Piesse reprise the roles of Owen and Beru Lars for the Prequel Trilogy. Also appearing will be Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
The series description reads:
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
