With his ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ looking set to be the first box-office smash in over a year, Adam Wingard has signed a deal with Warner Bros to write and direct an adaptation of ‘Thundercats’.
Wingard, along with Simon Barrett, will rewrite an earlier script by David Coggeshall. It will be based on the animated television series that ran from 1985 to 1989. The show was basically a cat version of He-Man.
No production schedule has been announced but Wingard is going to be a busy man as he has already been announced as director of the remake/sequel of ‘Face/Off’.
