When the cast of ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ was announced this week there was one name missing that many fans had hoped to see. Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks in the Prequel Trilogy, was not on the list. Best had a tough time from fans when the films were originally released but has been welcomed back into the fold with open arms in recent years.
Ever since rumours of a Kenobi project surfaced there has been talk of a Jar Jar appearance. When questioned on social media Best had this to say:
Thanks for the love, but I will not be in this series. As much as I would’ve loved to be a part of it. But I’m ecstatic to see folks who I love dearly back together doing great things.
