Ron Perlman will voice Optimus Primal in the upcoming ‘Transformers: Rise of The Beasts’, the first new Transformers film since 2018’s ‘Bumblebee’. Perlman has previously voiced the characters in the animated series ‘Transformers: Power Of The Primes’. Peter Cullen will return to voice Optimus Prime in the character’s G1 robot form.
The new film, set in 1994, will tell the story of Optimus Primal and the Maximals and their battle against the Predacons and Terrorcons for the fate of the Earth. It is based of the Beast Wars line of Transformers that was successful in the 90s.
Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback will play the human leads in the film that will be directed by ‘Creed II’ helmer Steven Caple Jr. The film is just about to go into production for a 24th June 2022 release.
