The next phase of the Iron Man story is gaining some momentum as Marvel Studios have selected a writer of their ‘Armor Wars’ Disney+ series. Stand-up comedian-turned-actor and screenwriter Yassir Lester has been selected to drive the Don Cheadle led show forward.
Lester, who is know for ‘Making History’, ‘The Carmichael Show’, and ‘Girls’, has previously worked with Cheadle on ‘Black History’ for which he was one of the main writers, co-exec producer and co-star.
‘Armor Wars’ will star Cheadle, reprising his Emmy nominated role of War Machine, as he battles to save Tony Stark’s legacy when the Iron Man technology falls into the wrong hands.
There is no director attached to the project and, as usual, Marvel Studios have made no comment.
