Three More Spider-Man Films Set In The MCU Confirmed

Long-time Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal has been doing the rounds promoting the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and has let slip some information about the future of the franchise while talking with Fandango. Most thought that the latest film would signal the end of the Marvel Studios and Sony relationship and see Spider-Man fall back to being completely under Sony’s control but it now looks like there is a future for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the MCU.

This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn’t part of… we’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.

Pascal also acknowledged that there are multiple universes of Spider-Man films in production at the moment and it doesn’t look like there are any plans to merge them at the moment even though ‘Venom: Let There be Carnage’ hinted otherwise.

Well, there’s the Marvel Universe, which is one container, and then there’s the [animated] Spider-Verse movies, which are different and then there’s the other universe where the Sony [‘Spider-Man’ live-action] characters are in. We all are very respectful of each other and work together and make sure that we’re only being additive.

We should get some answers to what is going on when ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ opens next month.
