According to a new report from Production Weekly, a mystery Star Wars project will commence shooting around June this year.
While not always accurate, the industry blog, which provides details of all major productions, lists ‘Ahsoka’, ‘The Acolyte’, and the second of ‘Andor’, which have all been officially announced or rumoured, but then there is a listing for UNTITLED STAR WARS PROJECT (w/t GRAMMAR RODEO). It is unclear if this project is a film or a series.
Star Wars news site Bespin Bulletin has indicated that the report is accurate and that they have been told it is not related any Star Wars project that is already in production even though it is using the same studio used by ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’, and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’.
There have been murmurs of a ‘Stranger Things In Space’ style series with a teen or pre-teen cast and set during the High Republic era so that is one possibility for the project but with Star Wars Celebration fast approaching at the end of May it is likely any announcements or confirmation will be held until then.
