During their presentation at Cinemacon in Las Vegas Sony Pictures announced ‘El Muerto’ has been added to their slate of Spider-Man spinoff films. Sony are currently filming ‘Kraven the Hunter’ and have ‘Madame Web’, ‘Spider-Woman’, and ‘Venom 3’ in the works.
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio), soon to be seen in Sony’s ‘Bullet Train’, will star as El Muerto. The character is a Luchador wrestler who gets mystical powers from his mask.
‘El Muerto’ will be the first Latino lead superhero film in the Sony Marvel Universe and has a released date of 12th January 2024.
