Viola Davis is in talks to return as Amanda Waller in her own HBO Max series.
Davis has played the role in David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ and its sequel, the James Gunn written and directed ‘The Suicide Squad’. She also appeared in that film’s spinoff ‘Peacemaker’.
Gunn will executive produce the show which will pick up from the ‘Peacemaker’ finale. Davis will also executive produce as well as starring and the series will be written and executive produced by Christal Henry (‘Watchmen’).
