Hayden Panettiere will reprise her role of Kirby, one of the survivors of ‘Scream 4’, in the untitled sixth installment of the franchise.
She joins the already announced returning cast of Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will be back to co-write the screenplay while Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct once again.
Nothing has been revealed about the plot for the new film but it has been promised that it continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.
The film will shoot this summer and has a release date of 31st March, 2023.
