‘Wonder Man’ is the latest Marvel character to get a series on Disney+. The project is part of the development deal that Destin Daniel Cretton signed with Marvel Studios after the success of ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’.
Cretton will act as executive producer and most likely direct one or more episodes. Andrew Guest, known for ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘Community’, is on board as head writer.
Wonder Man is one of Marvel’s oldest characters, having been created in 1964, first appearing as a villain but was a hero by the late ’70s and eventually a West Coast Avenger by the mid ’80s.
There has been no official comment on the series but it is rumoured to be going into production next year.
