According to reporter Jeff Sneider, on his YouTube show ‘The Hot Mic’, Marvel Studios number one choice to play Thunderbolt Ross in the upcoming ‘Thunderbolts’ is Harrison Ford.
If Ford were to sign up he would be taking over the role from the late William Hurt.
Marvel say that Ford has not been cast but it is unclear if he turned the role down or has yet to agree terms. It is rumoured that Ford was meant to be announced at D23 but Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy block it to keep the focus on ‘Indiana Jones 5’.
It has been announced that the film will star Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
‘Thunderbolts’ has a release date of 26th July 2024.
