Since the start of the Marvel Studios streaming shows on Disney+ people have been seeing Mephisto, Marvel’s version of the Devil, everywhere. Every new character – Mephisto. Every unexplained plot point – Mephisto. Well, we might be getting Mephisto soon.
A rumour that first cropped up on the Marvel Studios Spoilers Reddit, and was heavily Tweeted about, has now been picked up by the usual reliable The DisInsider.
The scoop is that Sacha Baron Cohen will portray Mephisto in the upcoming Marvel Studios series ‘Ironheart’ on the Disney+. Anthony Ramos is playing the villainous The Hood on that show, a character who traditionally gets his magical powers from Dormammu, but it is being suggested he will now make a deal with Mephisto.
Ironheart, an Ironman spin-off character, will be debuting in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ next month. The ‘Ironheart’ show in currently in production and will begin streaming in the second half of next year.
