Netflix have renewed their hit DC show ‘The Sandman’ for a second season. This puts to an end the rumours that the hit show had been cancelled for budgetary reasons.

The show, which is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic book series, had scored rave reviews and a massive viewer ship but there had been a delay in announcing more episodes.

The renewal comes after a fake cancellation notice, which was called out by Gaiman, and DC accidental Tweeting and then deleting the news.

‘The Sandman’ stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, Boyd Holbrook as Corinthian, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the Raven, David Thewlis as John Dee, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death. Allan Heinberg executive produces alongside Neil Gaiman and David S. Goyer. Gaiman, Goyer and Heinberg are also co-writers on the project.
