According to The Hot Mic podcast, ‘Logan’ star Dafne Keen is joining the cast of currently shooting Star Wars show ‘The Acolyte’. Keen has just finished starring in three seasons of ‘His Dark Materials’.
‘The Acolyte’ is set around one hundred years before ‘The Phantom Menace’ and is thought to revolve around the reemergence of the Sith in the Star Wars universe. Amandla Stenberg has been announced as headlining the cast which also features Jodie Turner-Smith (‘Queen & Slim’), Lee Jung-jae (‘Squid Game’), Manny Jacinto (‘The Good Place’) and Charlie Barnett (‘Russian Doll’). Leslye Headland (‘Russian Doll’) is the showrunner and creator.
‘The Acolyte’ will stream exclusively on Disney+ but doesn’t have an announced release date.
