Daniel Kaluuya Is Spider-Punk In ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’

Daniel Kaluuya will be playing a version of Spider-Man in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, the sequel to ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.

Kaluuya will be taking on the role of Hobart ‘Hobie’ Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk. A recent Marvel Comics creation, having first appeared in 2015 from writer Dan Slott and artist Olivier Coipel, he’s a homeless teenager who becomes a hero to the oppressed citizens of New York in his dimensional universe.

Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez and Greta Lee return from the first film. Issa Rae, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham and Jason Schwartzman are among the newcomers.

Justin K. Thompson, Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers are directing the feature, which is set to hit cinemas on 2nd June, 2023.
