Following the ongoing success of ‘Strangers Things’ and the hit films ‘Free Guy’ and ‘The Adam Project’, Shawn Levy has become an in demand director. Having already signed to direct ‘Deadpool 3’ for Marvel Studios, he is now in talks with Lucasfilm to follow that up with a Star Wars film.
Levy joins a list of announced Star Wars directors that includes Taika Waititi, Patty Jenkins, Rian Johnson and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
‘Deadpool 3’ has a release date of 8th November 2024 and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s Star Wars film is due December 2025 so if Levy’s film does come together don’t expect it until the end of 2026 at the earliest.
