Diego Luna has scored a rare achievement for a Star Wars star and has become only the second to be nominated for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe Awards. The nomination is for ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Drama)’ for ‘Andor’
The only previous actor to be nominated was Alec Guinness for the original ‘Star Wars’.
Luna’s nomination was the only one for the Star Wars series at the Golden Globes but it has already picked up best actor and best series nominations at the Critic’s Choice Awards.
The Golden Globe winners will be announced on 10th January in the first live broadcast of the ceremony since 2021. The disgraced HFPA has been restructured following a number of scandals.
