‘The Keep’ Getting A New Adaptation From Greg Nicotero

Author F. Paul Wilson has announced via Twitter that the rights to his novel, ‘The Keep’, have been aquired by Greg Nicotero. The Nazis versus vampires story was previously adapted unsuccessfully by Michael Mann in 1983.

THE KEEP – 2 days ago, after a year and a half of lawyering between the "purchaser" and my side at ICM, I signed an option/purchase agreement with Greg Nicotero for the remake of The Keep. Greg is a longtime fan of the book and he's got the chops to do a worthy adaptation.

Nicotero made his name in special makeup effects before becoming a major player on ‘The Walking Dead’ and creating Shudder’s ‘Creepshow’ reboot.
