Following Katee Sackhoff’s success transition from animated to live action Star Wars with her character Bo-Katan Kryse, it appears that Kevin McKidd will be the next to make the leap.

Making Star Wars is running a rumour that the ‘Trainspotting’ actor McKidd will be reprising his ‘Star Wars Rebels’ character, the Mandalorian warrior Fenn Rau, in the currently airing third season of ‘The Mandalorian’. McKidd voiced the character for seven episodes of the animated series that see Fenn Rau go from Clone Wars veteran to a hero of the new Rebellion and one of the leading Mandalorians.

‘The Mandalorian’ star, Pedro Pascal, has promised viewers big surprises in the third season of the show that are on a par with what we got in the second. Apart from a brief glimpse of the Mythosaur in the second episode, the season has so far played out without any massive reveals so the introduction of another animated character would tick that box.

A new episode of ‘The Mandalorian’ is released every Wednesday on Disney+.
