‘The X-Files’ creator Chris Carter has hinted that ‘Black Panther’ director Ryan Coogler is looking to do something with the show.
While appearing on On the Coast With Gloria Macarenko, Carter brought up the possibility that something was happening with his hit sci-fi series.
I just spoke to a young man… Ryan Coogler… who is going to remount ‘The X-Files’ with a diverse cast. So he’s got his work cut out for him because we covered so much territory.

Carter did not elaborate on this so it is not clear whether the new project would be for film or television, a remake or reboot, just that Coogler is involved. The original series ran from 1993 until 2001 and then came back in 2016 for two more season. There was also to theatrical releases.
