Demetrius Grosse (‘Fear The Walking Dead’) has joined the cast of Marvel’s ‘Wonder Man’ as Eric Williams, the brother of the titular character. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has already been announced to be playing Simon Williams/Wonder Man and Ben Kingsley returns as his ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Shang-Chi’ role of actor Trevor Slattery.

First introduced in comics in 1964, Wonder Man has been depicted as a gifted engineer who gains superhuman abilities and becomes an enemy of The Avengers, though he has also fought alongside the team of Marvel heroes in multiple capacities. He is expected to be portrayed as a hero on the show.

In the comics, Eric is seen as the “black sheep” of the Williams family, whereas Simon was the golden child. Eric eventually becomes a costumed villain going by the name of Grim Reaper.

Destin Daniel Cretton (‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’) and writer-producer Andrew Guest (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) are developing the show and Guest will serve as head writer. The show is expected to shoot soon and will be released some time next year.
