Max, formally HBO Max, is developing a TV series set within ‘The Conjuring’ universe.
The franchise currently consists of eight films built around three ‘Conjuring’ films, the first two of which were directed by James Wan, starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga who play the real life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.
No details have been made available at the moment, and no writer is attached yet but Max says the TV project will “continue the story established in the feature films” as opposed to rebooting or following a side character.
Peter Safran, who produced the films, will act as executive producer and James Wan is also in talks but no writer is currently attached.
