Jennifer Garner is return to the role of Elektra, which she played in Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005).
She is set to appear in Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, from director Shawn Levy. Garner recently featured in Levy and Reynold’s The Adam Project for Netflix.
Deadpool 3 looks set to be another multiverse hopping comic book adventure that will see the lead character leave the 20th Century Fox universe of Marvel films and end up in Marvel Studios’ MCU. Fox produced all the X-Men related films as well as Daredevil, Elektra and three attempts at the Fantastic Four. The Disney purchase of Fox brought all those properties under the Marvel Studios’ banner, allowing this crossover to be possible.
There have also been strong rumours that Garner’s ex-husband, Ben Affleck, will also be reprising the role of Daredevil in the new film but nothing has been confirmed.
Marvel have made no comment.
Deadpool 3 is shoot now and has a release date of 3rd May 2004.
