Pedro Pascal looks to be the next big Marvel star, with the actor entering talks to take on the prized role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four.

Pascal is one of the most in demand actors at the moment and only scheduling looks to be the only roadblock that could prevent him from taking the role. The actor still needs to shoot the second season of The Last Of Us and may have a Star Wars film in his future.

The casting of Reed Richards has been hotly debated since the film was announced with the character looking to be one of the new headliners of the MCU. For a long time John Krasinski had been the popular choice, leading to him appearing as the character in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness in a piece of stunt casting.

WandaVision director Matt Shakman is set to direct the film, which has a release date of 2nd May, 2025. Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer wrote a draft of the script, with Avatar: The Way of Water writer Josh Friedman penning the most recent version.

The genre-centric journalist Daniel Richtman first reported the news of Pascal’s casting on his Patreon account.
