Mars Attacks! director Tim Burton will be directing a remake of ’50s sci-fi classic Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman for Warner Bros.
Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) will be writing what is being described as a new take on the concept.
Th original film is about a an abused socialite who, after an alien encounter and an aborted murder attempt, grows to a massive size and goes after her husband in revenge fueled rampage. The film has become a classic of the size change sci-fi genre.
The film was previously remade in 1993 with Daryl Hannah starring and Christopher Guest directing.
