Todd Phillips took to Instagram to officially announce that he is working on a sequel to ‘Joker’ and that the script is complete. He shared a picture of the script, titled ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, and a shot of Joaquin Phoenix reading it.
There have been rumours about the film since the original grossed over a billion dollars at the box office and now, after the change of leadership, it looks like it is a priority for Warner Bros. It has also been reported that David Zaslav, the head of Warner Bros. Discovery, has reached out to Phillips about him advising on the future slate of DC films.
Folie à deux is a phenomenon in which two or more individuals, typically family members, experience an identical or similar mental disorder but what this means for the film is being kept secret.
