
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will be reprising their roles of Daredevil and Kingpin in the upcoming Marvel Studios series ‘Echo’. The pair first appeared in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ but have since crossed over into the MCU with Cox cameoing in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and D’Onofrio featuring in ‘Hawkeye’.
‘Echo’ spins out of the events of ‘Hawkeye’ and follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is the character’s surrogate father who is later revealed to be behind her real father’s murder. Echo first appeared in the Daredevil comics so there is already an established connection between the those characters.
The show will follow Maya as her life criminal life catches up with her while she returns to her hometown to reconnect with her Native American roots. Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Graham Greene co-star
The series is filming now and will be released on Disney+ next year.
