Following ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’, Oscar Isaac has probably been the most outspoken about being burnt by Star Wars machine to the extent that at one point saying he would only come back if he needed a new house.
Now, in an interview with SiriusXM, the Poe Dameron actor seems to have reconsidered his stance and said that he would be interested in returning to the role so long as the material was strong enough and an interesting director was attached.
I’m open to anything. You never know. I have no real feeling one way or another. I’m open to any good story. Time is the one thing that becomes challenging… as you get older and kids and all that. Where do [movies] fit in? If there was a great story and a great director and [Lucasfilm president] Kathy [Kennedy] came to me and was like, ‘I have this great idea,’ then I’m so open to it.Oscar Isaac/SiriusXM
Lucasfilm hasn’t officially announced any projects that carry on the story of the sequel trilogy but there is a ‘Rogue Squadron’ film on the slate that would suit the Dameron character so only time will tell if Isaac will actually be returning.
