Ryan Reynolds has announced via his social media that he has lured Hugh Jackman back to don the claws again as Wolverine. The pair will star together in ‘Deadpool 3’ which will be released in 2024.
Jackman last appeared as the X-Man in 2017’s ‘Logan’ and publicly stated that that would be the final time but he has also said in the past that he would love to be part of the MCU. Patrick Stewart’s Professor X has already shown up in ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ and Mutants got their first mention in ‘Ms. Marvel’ so the ground work has been done to set up his return. Whether he will be the permanent Wolverine of the MCU or a one-off like John Krasinski’s Mister Fantastic is expected to be remains to be seen.
‘Deadpool 3’, the first R-rated Marvel film, will be directed by Shawn Levy and released on 6th September 2024.
