Lucasfilm and Disney+ are actively looking at creating an Indiana Jones show for the streamer.
They are taking meetings with writers to discuss what form this show could take and it is currently unknown whether it would be a prequel to or spinoff of the film franchise, or if it would tie into the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones film, similar to how Disney has tied its Marvel shows on Disney+ into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Harrison Ford has already stated that he is done with the character after the fifth film, which is released next year, so the character would either be recast or the show could follow someone else in the Indiana Jones world.
This wouldn’t be the first time Indiana Jones has been adapted for television. ‘The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles’ ran for two season and four specials between 1992 and 1996. That series saw Sean Patrick Flanery and Corey Carrier play younger versions of the character.
