Reeves And McShane Join ‘John Wick’ Spinoff ‘Ballerina’

Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his role of John Wick in the just started shooting ‘Ballerina’.

‘Ballerina’ stars Ana de Armas and is being directed by Len Wiseman. The film is a spinoff from the John Wick franchise and is thought to revolve around ballet school that featured in the third film. The story will follow de Armas as a young woman with killer skills who uses them to get revenge when her family is killed by hitmen.

Also coming across from the main franchise is Ian McShane who plays Winston, the manager of the Continental Hotel. ‘John Wick 3’ finished with Wick and Winston on opposing sides so it is unclear where this film will sit in the franchise timeline.

‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is released on 24th March, 2023 and will probably answer some of these questions. ‘Ballerina’ is yet to be given a release date.
