Marvel Studios have picked Yann Demange, who direct the pilot of HBO’s ‘Lovecraft Country’, as the new director of ‘Blade’. The project has been without a director since Bassam Tariq left in September. Mahershala Ali will still play the lead.
Work will start from scratch on the film with Michael Starrbury (‘When They See Us’) also coming on board to write a new script.
Demange is a French-born, London-raised director who began in TV before segueing into features with dramatic thrillers ‘’71‘ and ‘White Boy Rick’.
‘Blade’ will be released on 6th September, 2024.
