During an appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival, Jackie Chan has been talking up a further instalment of the long stalled ‘Rush Hour’ franchise. He stated to the audience that “we’re talking about part 4 right now” and said he was meeting the director about the new script.
Brett Ratner, the disgraced director, helmed the first three films and hasn’t made a film 2014 so it is unclear who the director Chan is referring to could be. Chris Tucker, the other star of the franchise, also hasn’t acted since 2016.
The first three films were made between 1998 and 2007 and revolved around a fish-out-of-water Hong Kong detective who comes to LA.
