Last year Peacock green lit the ‘Friday The 13th’ prequel series, ‘Crystal Lake’, from writer/producer Bryan Fuller and A24. This follows 14 years of the franchise being on hold due to fighting over who owns the rights.
During a screen of ‘Friday The 13th Part III’ Fuller announced that ‘Scream’ creator, Kevin Williamson, had joined the project and would be writing an episode. On top of that, the franchises original final girl, Adrienne King, had signed on for a recurring role in the series. Fuller has pitched four seasons but so far only one has been ordered.
The show will also have two scores, the classic Manfredini one and a new take.
The writers room on the show begins in the next two weeks.
