In an interview with French outlet BFMTV Inside, Jon Favreau revealed that he has already completed the scripts for a fourth season of ‘The Mandalorian’. The season was plotted with Dave Filoni then Favreau completed the scripts during the post-production period of the soon to air third season.
Favreau stated the reason for the scripts being written so early is to allow for a close continuity with ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘Skeleton Crew’ as those two show were set within the same period of time as ‘The Mandalorian’ and where also about to enter production of their first seasons.
[Dave Filoni’s] doing Ahsoka, which I’m producing with him, but he’s the writer and showrunner on that. And so, to understand what’s happening on other shows or even Skeleton Crew, they all take place in the same Star Wars time period. So, there’s a lot more things that we have to keep in mind and stuff that we’ve built up to from previous seasons of The Mandalorian as well.
