Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known as The Daniels, who just won the Best Director Academy Award for ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ will be directing at least one episode of ‘Star War: Skeleton Crew’.
‘Skeleton Crew’, which stars Jude Law, has wrapped filming its first season but Lucasfilm have made no comment on the directors. The current season of ‘The Mandalorian’ didn’t have its directors announced until two months before it debuted.
‘Skelton Crew’ is the upcoming Disney+ show from ‘Spider-Man’ director Jon Watts that has been described as ‘Stranger Things’ in space. Set in the same time period as ‘The Mandalorian’, it will follow a group of kids lost in the galaxy, trying to find their way home. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are executive producers on the show.
It is possible that The Daniels could be announced at Star War Celebration next month.
