Marvel Studios’ next big show, ‘Secret Invasion’, looks like it finally has a release date. According to the show’s page on Disney+, it is scheduled to debut on Wednesday 21st June.
The show is an adaptation of the crossover comic event series that revealed a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls had infiltrated Earth for years and will be a dark espionage thriller in tone. The comic series had the Skulls as villains but ‘Captain Marvel’ established them on the side of good so at the moment it is unclear how this will play out in live action.
Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury alongside Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Making their MCU debuts are Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald and Carmen Ejogo.
