
Josh Friedman, writer of ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ and Spielberg’s ‘War Of The Worlds’, has come onboard to writer Marvel Studios’ ‘Fantastic Four’, replacing Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Matt Shakman is still attached as director.
This film will be the third attempt at launching Marvel’s first family as a successful franchise but the first time they have been part of the MCU. The film, which has a release date of 14th February 2025, will be a key part of the universe’s sixth phase.
Friedman is a sci-fi veteran who created the ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ as well as writing ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ before moving on to ‘Avatar’ franchise with James Cameron. He also worked on the TV adaptation of ‘Snowpiercer’ and co-created Apple’s “Foundation” series.
