Lars Mikkelsen has finally been confirmed to be reprising the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn in ‘Ahsoka’ having previously voiced the character on ‘Star Wars Rebels’.
The reveal was made during the ‘Ahsoka’ panel during Star Wars Celebration Europe where Mikkelsen appeared on stage alongside the rest of the cast and a new trailer was screen exclusively for those in the room.
It was also announced that David Tennant will be returning as the droid Huyang, who he voiced on ‘The Clone Wars’, who was responsible for giving the younglings their lightsabers.
‘Ahsoka’ is being written and showrun by Dave Filoni, who is also directing an episode. The other directors are Rick Famuyiwa, Peter Ramsey, Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger and Geeta Patel.
‘Ahsoka’ debuts in August.
