Paramount has acquired the rights to a new Longlegs film with Osgood Perkins back to write and direct. Nicolas Cage is also back onboard to star and produce.
The original Longlegs, which was produced by Neon, became the highest grossing independent film of the last decade.
No plot details have been released but the film is said to not be a sequel but something set in the Longlegs universe.
The original film starred Maika Monroe as an FBI agent with an aptitude for clairvoyance, who investigates a series of murder-suicides in Oregon that are connected to serial killer nicknamed Longlegs. Nicolas Cage played the killer.
