Tom Holland’s latest outing as Spider-Man has started to tick of box office records in North America.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day first broke the record for previews, taking $72 million on Thursday night. Now it has achieved a total of $168 million for its opening day, including the preview figure.
This tops the $157 millions achieved by Avengers: Endgame back in 2019.
Sony are now predicting the film will top out are $325 million for the weekend, which would put it second on the all time weekend list behind Avengers: Endgame which took $357 million.
