‘Pig’ director Michael Sarnoski is in negotiations to write and direct the next chapter of the ‘A Quiet Place’ franchise. Jeff Nichols was original attached to the project but left in October.

The film will not be a sequel but rather a spinoff based on an idea from John Krasinski, the director of the first to films. The plan is to turn this into a franchise that can be mined for years to come.

No official title or release date have been announced for the film.
